Cordillera Valley Club, 2016- Custom Home Build
Knowing the height of a tree is sometimes all it takes. Putting his back up against a Juniper Tree on the lot, Principal Doug Blue could envision exact height of the great room to take advantage of the mountain views from this custom home. Working with the constraints of the site and view corridor, Alpine built this home using an unconventional floor plan that was still livable for a family of four. By flipping the home’s layout, Alpine was able to put the focus on the view from the lower level and have the family’s great room and main living spaces where they could have an indoor-outdoor living footprint that worked with the way they lived. Without impacting the views of the neighbors, this house took into consideration budget constraints, a steep building entry and environmental restrictions to create a contemporary mountain family home with amazing designer views.
